The GOVT Singapore
PortfolioAbout
Founded in 2012, GOVT Singapore is a full-fledged creative agency. But no, we’re not owned by the government and neither do we have any government clients (for now).
Instead, we’re passionate about making the brands we work with famous. Our family of 50-plus oddballs and craftsmen work together to hone locally-relevant insights, create cut-through ideas and solve business ideas with a combination of creativity and efficiency.
We love blurring the lines between traditional advertising, pop culture, data science, tech innovation and consumer experience. And we do this for clients such as OCBC Bank, Tiger Beer, National Trade Union Congress Enterprise, Julie’s Biscuits, SATS and more.
Philosophy
Since our inception, we’ve believed in creating meaningful consumer experiences. This manifested itself in a slew of experiential on-ground activations early on in our existence. But today, it is something that must come alive in everything we do, regardless of medium.
To that end, we nurture everyone to always aim to be the first-experience agency that delivers constant firsts to our clients and their consumers.
We do this by adopting a comma-based approach in our efforts. The humble punctuation mark is the symbol we look up to as a motivation to always go beyond the brief, never stop at what’s obvious, and to always have a good time in the process.
Disciplines
We’re quick-footed when it comes to putting the best disciplines on the job. We assemble the best combinations (and characters) from various disciplines to behave like an extension of the clients’ marketing teams.
• Multi-disciplinary creatives
• Branding
• Design & Innovation
• Experiential
• Strategy and planning

WHY DOES BEING INDEPENDENT MATTER?
It matters because we fancy independent agencies as the necessary “pirates” in a landscape traditionally dominated by the “navy” that is established network agencies.
It’s not to say that we exist merely to plunder and conquer. But rather, we exist as a necessary counterweight to the belief that an established way of doing things is the only way.
Being independent pirates helps us chart our own course for the good of our clients. It reminds us to always treat our crew fairly, like a united family of misfits. And it helps us remember that it’s not about how big your fleet is, but how exciting the voyage should be.
